Strategy, sustainability, digitalisation, expansion of the customer portfolio, new partnerships and interesting scenarios: concreteness, tradition, innovation, passion, history and future. This is how La Lucente is ready to welcome 2022: 365 days to write, in which the Company will celebrate one hundred years of uninterrupted activity

Starting from 19 January, with the installation of the new board of directors of La Lucente SpA, made up of Pierluigi Mantini (President), Angelo Volpe (Managing Director) and Saverio Francesco Ressa (Director), an important of renewal of the company. La Lucente looks to the future without losing sight of the values ​​and principles of a hundred-year history. In fact, in 2022 the Company will celebrate a century of uninterrupted activity. Particular attention was paid to optimizing the business model with a view to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Important partnerships have thus been established with university institutes (LUM University – Free Mediterranean University “Giuseppe Degennaro, as part of the Global Corporate Sustainability course, e Polytechnic of Bari, relatively to an innovative Masters in Circular Economy).

Furthermore, the operations that will lead, precisely in 2022, to the publication of the first Integrated Report of La Lucente SpA have been launched. In this same vein, the update of the Organisation, Management and Control Model pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/01, launching an effective training and awareness activity towards all company stakeholders on this issue, concretely promoting the dissemination of the principles of ethics and legality in the company and compliance culture. 

At the same time, the Company has decided to carry out a statutory audit of the financial statements for the three-year period 2021-2023, entrusting the related task to the company PricewaterhouseCoopers SpA, in order to add value to its business and provide stakeholders with further guarantees of reliability. Furthermore, on the subject of corporate social responsibility and in implementation of the provisions of the national protocol for the implementation of company plans aimed at activating extraordinary anti SARS-CoV2 vaccination points in the workplace, at the Company's headquarters it was set up the first multi-company Vaccinal HUB of Bari and Province, as part of the project “VAX4JOB”. The activation of the vaccination service took place with the aim of offering a socially useful service free of charge to companies in the area.

Furthermore, the Company, reaffirming its particular sensitivity in relation to issues concerning health and safety in the workplace, has adopted a new contract for health surveillance, with the aim of being increasingly compliant with respect to the legislation on the subject (Legislative Decree n.81/2008 – Consolidated text on safety).

At the same time, we proceeded to give a strong boost to the computerization and digitization of processes, configuring an increasingly extensive sharing of information; in fact, the "CENTO" management system was designed and implemented, an IT platform which guarantees punctual traceability of information flows for the execution of orders in all contracts, as well as facilitating and optimizing the archiving of contract documents.

Furthermore, thanks to a consultancy entrusted to Alvarez & Marsal, a diagnostic and relative optimization of the company operating processes was carried out, thanks to an innovative approach activity-based-review.

The year that is about to end then saw the consolidation of the Company's leading position in the public market, through the assignment of important contracts by authoritative clients such as the Lazio Region, ATAP SpA - consortium for the operation of public transport premises of Pordenone, Atb - Bergamo transport company, Campania Guardia di Finanza, Municipality of Bari and the Authority of the Port System of the Southern Adriatic Sea. Even in the private sphere, the Company in 2021 was no less, with an important expansion of its customer portfolio. ITA – Italy Trasporti Aereo, Natuzzi, Fincantieri are just some of the brands that have chosen to rely on La Lucente SpA during the past year; there are also important confirmations in relation to long-term partnerships with important customers, such as Leonardo Company, Magna and Dana. The partnership with theEuropean Customer Synergy (ECS), a pan-European company based in Brussels, which provides integrated facility management and global service services at a European level, which represents a further important growth opportunity for the company in the reference market, at a national and international level . 

Deloitte & Touche SpA was also appointed to revaluate the corporate brand.

Finally, in 2021 the commercial reliability of La Lucente SpA was recognized and confirmed, with the recognition CRIBIS Prime Company 2021, consisting of the highest level of evaluation by the company of the CRIF Group, to companies that constantly maintain high economic-commercial reliability. 

An important path therefore, the one signed in 2021 by the new governance, aimed at ferrying the Company into its second century of activity.
