Second edition of the Sustainability Award: La Lucente SpA is in the list of the TOP 100 sustainable companies that Forbes published on the occasion of the second edition of the Sustainability Award, promoted by Credit Suisse e KON Group. The companies identified underwent an independent assessment based on the ESG rating model developed by ALTIS Alta Scuola Impresa e Società of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. The Sustainability Award The Sustainability Award is a recognition reserved for Italian companies that have distinguished themselves in the launch and implementation of sustainable and inclusive development paths, with the aim of generating value for stakeholders and the community. The second edition intends to give visibility to the efforts of companies that have been able to integrate environmental, social and economic sustainability into their business strategies, internalizing the principles through the innovation of organizational and production processes and actively monitoring their performance. The method of assigning the ESG Rating The effectiveness in assessing the sustainability profiles of companies is an objective shared by the business and financial community, which still encounters strong methodological complexities. To allow an independent and standardized evaluation of the candidates, the technical partner ALTIS Catholic University with the coordination of Kon Group and with the support of Credit Suisse, has developed an ad hoc analysis model for the Sustainability Award. The model is based on a structured questionnaire aimed at detecting the approach adopted by companies regarding the main environmental (E), social (S) and governance (G) issues. For each ESG issue analysed, the following were identified: – the strategic objectives and company policies (Strategy) – the management models and specific actions adopted (Management) – a set of Key Performance Indicators taken from the GRI Standards (Performance).
